Not Sure

As I put my fingers on the computer, I’m not sure what I’m going to write about! I’m not sure how to inspire you to soar into greatness! I’m not sure how to raise you to your highest potential! As I pondered myself not being sure, I realized everything was in divine order. Perhaps it’s okay to be not Sure! Perhaps, you’re not sure of your next steps either!

As we climb our mountains, it’s okay to stop, stand, observe, rest, and take stock of where we’ve been. Do we have the right tools and guides to continue up our path?

Do we need to replenish our supplies?

I/we don’t always have to have the answer. Being in the question can be a good thing!

Being not sure causes us to be in exploration, excitement, or dangerous opportunity or wei gi as is noted in Chinese legend. Being not sure also requires us to have an openness and a vulnerability for the new that’s before us. Being not sure requires us to have a willingness to let go and to let God. Being not sure is a great place in which to hang out!

Where else can you permit yourself to be in the unknown?

I think Deepak Chopra used to call this “the gap.” The void. The black hole! In my memoir Soaring into Greatness: A Blind Woman’s Vision to Live Her Dreams and Fly I give these tips for “Climbing our Personal Mount Everest”

Be aware of the mountain;

Have the strength, desire, and passion to climb it;

Have the needed physical and psychological tools to make the journey;

Never forget that you are the light;

Find a guide to walk with you on your journey;

Never go blindly ahead without checking out the terrene first;

Face your fears and step boldly into your greatness;

Practice, practice, practice;

Be patient, meditate, pray, forgive;

Maintain a positive attitude, for what you think and speak, you create;

Take action, it’s not good to sit too long in one spot;

Be willing to take a risk and to expand;

Rest, and see the beauty around you;

Slow down, breathe, and choose to take a different path if necessary, you always have a choice;

Recognize that there may be crevasses and avalanches along the path, and they all can be conquered;

Persevere, no matter what, and keep going, the fall is temporary, and the wound can always be cleaned out;

Trust the belay rope, even when in fear or exposed to the cruel elements, that rope is your lifeline to safety;

Want the summit, feel down to your core that you can reach it,  visualize with your eyes that you can see it, and believe in your heart that you can have it;

Give gratitude for the journey;

And lastly, when you’ve reached the summit, or anywhere along the way, don’t forget to celebrate the struggle.

As you stand on your mountain, it’s okay to be quiet, to go within, to ask questions, to be still, and to wait for divine intelligence to speak to your heart. Notice what you’re not sure about and notice you in this present moment. The challenge is to be patient. There’s no rush! For now, relax, and be! In this way, you’ll calmly and confidently change the way you see and change the way you live!
