Once upon a time, in the land of now, some of the most magical beings got together to hold an important conference. Present on their magic cloud were the Fairy Godmother, Genie, Mrs. Clause, Bewitch, and Glenda the Good Witch of the North, among others. After a scrumptious meal of dates, figs, cashews, strawberries, and sweet bread they got to work. After must discussion, they all agreed on the solution and what must be done! They would immediately go to earth.

Imagine my surprise as I awoke this morning to a gentle tap on my forehead. “Gail, this is your Fairy Godmother!”

“Say what?”

“You heard right, your Fairy Godmother! I’m here to give you my magic wand! With this wand, you can create anything you want! There’s only one catch!”

Now wide awake, I inquired, “What’s that?”

“The wand can only be used for good!” With no further explanation, poof, she was gone and her magnificent glorious wand remained in my palms!

What’s a girl like me supposed to do with the Fairy Godmother’s magic wand?
How am I to use her gift for good?

Hmm! As I pondered, one thought stood out amongst all the others! I could give each of you your own magic wand with the same requirement; you can only use it for good! Yes, this is perfect!

Before you read any further, go find a piece of paper and something to write with. Now, allow yourself some time to answer the following questions. You might find it helpful to sit in a quiet place and take in three long deep breaths. Your answers are important and could be life-changing.

#1. If you had a magic wand, how would you wave it?
#2. How would you imagine the world in which you live?
#3. What changes would you make?
#4. How would you be part of the solution?

I heard a speaker say recently that we need to start a revolution of actions! Not in the sense of war, but in the name of peace! Take action! take charge of our planet! Take charge of our climate! Take charge of those in the office! We shouldn’t be placid and wait for others! We need to do what we can do now before it’s too late!

Together-like the stone rippling in the pond-we can spread love, peace, joy, imagination, creativity, truth, compassion, and kindness, everywhere. The world and all the people in it can move forward in a positive light! We can be part of the solution! We can be the creators of change! We can be the revolutionists for good! I challenge you to make your Fairy Godmother, Genie, Mrs. Clause, Bewitch, or your Glenda the Good Witch of the North proud! I challenge you to pick up your magic wand; examine it carefully; spread your own fairy dust around; be the good powerful loving you; and let’s together change the way we see our worlds and our lives, and let’s together change the way we live!
