Trust Your Gut!

You know, hindsight is always better than foresight. We can’t change the past. What is done, is done. All we can ever do is move forward and learn from our experiences.

The trick here is not to beat ourselves up.

If I’d only known!
I should have known better!
It’s all my fault!
I just jumped in without thinking!

Have you ever said any of these things to yourself or others?

I’m betting dollars to doughnuts you have, and once again, you’re not alone. We all have done something that in hindsight we wished we hadn’t and/or had waited a moment before blindly plunging into the new waters.

So, what do we do now?

How do we prevent ourselves from repeating old, unwanted patterns?

Awareness is the first step. Look at your situation and ask yourself these questions.

Have I ever done this before?
If so, when?
Are there any similarities?
Am I about to do the same thing again?

Next, step back. Nothing is so important that you need to decide today. In stepping back, you may want to do some internet research and/or ask a friend, family member, or coworker for their thoughts about the situation.

Of course, at the end of the day, you have to trust your gut, your intuition, your higher power, and your God. And, of course, everything, not just some things, everything is in Divine order.

Maybe the purpose was for you to change directions; maybe to move energy; maybe to meet someone else. We don’t know the “how come”. We must trust our gut that what we are doing is the right thing and that this is the right moment.

I challenge you to trust your gut. Do the thing your heart is telling you to do. None of us have crystal balls. No matter what, you’re always right. You’re the creator of your destiny. You have the ability and the power to change the way you see and change the way you live.
