Living in the question
I don’t know about you, but at times I wonder what my purpose is. Why am I here on the planet?
Though I find these questions uncomfortable, they are necessary to ponder so I can move forward in my life. After reflecting, I come back to my reason for rising every morning: to inspire you that you can do anything and that all things are possible; not some things, but all things!
It’s about living in the question, not the answer.
We may think we know everything, which is living in the answer. But what if we don’t know everything? What if we don’t know anything? What if we questioned our answers and turned our answers into questions? What if our fears and beliefs were only tools for us to break through them? Would your purpose, your why for existing be the same? What if for example, money and time were no object, what would you do?
For me, if time and money were unlimited, I’d choose to go to Hawaii and swim with the dolphins. I’d go to Norway and visit Edward Grieg’s house and his piano. I’d attend the symphonies and listen to live operas. I’d travel to other states and visit friends and family, and I’d live in a place where I could afford my rent and/or mortgage without financial assistance.
I would do these things because they’d bring me joy. After that, I’d sit down and come up with more ways as to how I could still empower others to live a life of greatness.
If time and money were not issues, would you want to be a millionaire? For some, this is their goal. They want the latest Tesla, displaying diamonds on their fingers, traveling to Dubai, wearing Parisian fashions and dancing the nights away in the most prestigious bars. Seemingly, money is what they’re worshipping – almost like it’s their God. Many times, these folks aren’t happy for they aren’t living their purpose, they aren’t living in the question.
It’s not the money that is important, it’s what one does with it. If money brings fulfillment, joy, love, and hope to others, then it’s not a curse, rather a blessing. Some folks choose to use their money by giving food to the hungry. Others provide transportation to those who need it. Some volunteer their time to a children’s organization, and still others provide music to a nursing home. You have the choice to live life on its edge or comfortably in the middle. You have the choice to always know the answer, or to live in the question.
We all have choices. How we choose to live life is the question. Are we going to be the victim of our circumstances (whether they be mental, emotional, physical, or financial) or are we going to be empowered by them?
I challenge you, that whatever you are thinking about doing or being today, choose to be the Olympic champion of your life. You’ll never know if you are the winner unless you step boldly forward and start the race. Choose to live in the question.
Choose to live an unstoppable, unforgettable, and unbelievable life. Choose to change the way you see and change the way you live.
