Believe

Some folks have told me that I shouldn’t write about God in my blogs. “Everyone has different perspectives of what God is, and you might offend someone.” I’m not telling you to believe the way I believe, or my God is better than yours. I mean no offense by using the word God. However, I do think the world could use a little reminder of God, faith, love, peace, and kindness.

I write blogs every week to give inspiration, hope, provide perspective, share my Self, and to let you know you aren’t alone and that we are all in this life together. Hopefully, you find that my words encourage you to persevere, keep going, and to be willing to do the hard.

I believe/trust in divine order. That everything happens for a reason. I believe that there aren’t any accidents in the world and that all things are possible. We may not ever know the “Why,” we just have to understand and be at peace with everyone and everything.

Recently, the woman who is taking care of my fourth Seeing Eye dog, Vinnie, said that I had hurt her feelings and she was stepping back from the relationship. I was devastated. Distraught that I had unintentionally hurt her feelings and greatly saddened that I’d never get to see my beloved Vinnie again. I’ve apologized for anything I may have done and now leave the forgiveness and healing in God’s hands.

I bring this up for as I said, I believe that all things are possible. God, the universe, time, infinite wisdom, whatever you want to call it, something can happen in her heart, and perhaps I’ll get to pet Vinnie’s soft ears again. If not, all is in Divine order and my soul will learn from this experience.

We have to believe in something bigger than ourselves! Man has done this since the beginning of time. Why else would we go to the moon? Why else would we strive to do better? And why else would a baby want to walk?

Because we believe we can!

We believe. We hope for a better life, a better world, or perhaps for a better career. Hope is eternal. Where doubt is, believing is on the other side. Where dark is, light also illuminates. There’s not one without the other.

As the song, I Believe by Perry Como says:

“I believe for every drop of rain that falls a flower grows
I believe that somewhere in the darkest night a candle glows
I believe for everyone who goes astray, someone will come to show the way
I believe, I believe.

I believe above the storm the smallest prayer will still be heard
I believe that someone in the great somewhere hears every word
Every time I hear a newborn baby cry, or touch a leaf or see the sky
Then I know why. I believe.”

So, I challenge you to believe. Believe in you! Believe in others! Believe in mankind. Believe in sunshine, flowers, music, the good. Believe in something! If that something is God, then, believe in that. If you believe, trust, and have hope, you can change the way you see and change the way you live!

That was a heartfelt message, Gayle. I pray, to GOD ?, that the woman gets over her offended-ness and you get to connect with Vinnie as many times as you want and need. May the God of hope fill you with His presence and unfailing love.

Thanks my friend. Going to ask for a Vinnie visit this week. We’ll see if God has opened her heart yet!
