Planting Seeds
So many times, we’re so busy throwing stones at Goliath we fail to see what’s in front of our faces.
I spent much of this year throwing stones. I wanted Goliath-my former publisher to see my perspective.
I started with small stones and progressed to rocks and finally to boulders. The harder I threw the firmer Goliath stood. I kept going. Surely, I could knock him down with reason, guilt, ethics, anger, and/or love. I wanted him to walk over, kneel, apologize, and do the right thing!
He didn’t, and in the end, I had to walk away.
After much deliberation, I decided To move forward by stopping the stone-throwing and started planting new and exceptional seeds.
Everything is in divine order. Goliath, mistakes, seeds, and opportunities. It’s not up to me to know! I can be bitter over Goliath making unkept promises or I can look at this as a blessing!
Because of Goliath, today a coach, friend, and mentor is helping me write a phenomenal presentation called “The Blind Elephant in the Room, Changing the Way You See and Relate to Others.” Because of Goliath, my website person is assisting me with editing and publishing the books that are on my plate. And, because of Goliath, I’ve found a new virtual assistant.
So, you see, laying down the stones and planting seeds is serving me to my highest good.
Who is your Goliath?
Are you spending too much time throwing stones?
Isn’t it time to start planting seeds?
The challenge is to gently put down your stones and pick up your shovel. Maybe Goliath was there for a reason. Maybe Goliath was there to show you a new direction. As John Denver says in his song, ” The Flower That Shattered the Stone”:
“As the river runs free the mountain does rise,
Let me touch with my fingers, see with my eyes;
In the hearts of the children, a pure love still grows,
Like the bright star in Heaven, that lights our way home,
Like the Flower that shattered the stone.”
Flowers are stronger than stones. Be at peace! You can weather the life storms, winds, and rains. The harvest is coming. Trust in divine order, plant seeds, and change the way you see and change the way you live.
