National Woman’s Day is held on March 8. This reminded me of one of the iconic songs by Cris Williamson who is an American feminist singer-songwriter and recording artist. One of her songs includes “If it wasn’t for the women”.

In part this song states:
“If it wasn’t for the women, … We would not be living, … We would not be joyful, … Loving and beloved. … If it wasn’t for the women, what would we do? We wouldn’t have health or strength or beauty, We wouldn’t have home we wouldn’t have food, If it wasn’t for the work of the women … We wouldn’t have art or craft or music, We wouldn’t have love we wouldn’t have truth, If it wasn’t for the work of the women.”

Can you imagine what this world would be like without women? Women nurture, guide, and empower us to learn, love, and live life to the fullest. Women give kindness, strength, and power. In short, women are the glue that holds the world together.

There isn’t anything women can’t do! We are speakers, writers, performers, and mothers. We are astronauts, teachers, engineers, and financial advisors. Capable and confident, creative, and courageous, we as women step out boldly daily to do what is ours to do!

Sometimes it feels like men, guns, power, and greed rule the world. You may feel powerless and victimized by circumstances beyond your control. Then, you have to stop, sit down, drink a cup of tea, breathe, and remember; there is no one and no thing that has power over you! You, and only you, are created to be the person you are born to be.

If you feel like you need a little woman power boost stand up and repeat as many times as necessary:

I am the creator of my destiny!
I am a blessing to my Self and others!
I am strong!
I am confident!
I am wise!
I am capable!
I am love!
I am loving!
I am lovable!
I am unstoppable!
I am unforgettable!
I am unbelievable!

I am amazing!
I am whole!
I am holy!
I am peaceful!
I am free!
