The Four Pillars
I’ve often wondered what people in the future will say about us.
What were those hand-held flat rectangles they carried everywhere?
Why did they tap on things with a hundred little keys?
And what were those scribbles on paper supposed to mean?
It’s hard to know how we’ll be remembered. Maybe my words will survive and give someone a glimpse into life in the 2020s, or maybe they’ll just fade away. Either way, we can’t get too comfortable thinking we’re indispensable or indivisible. Spiritually speaking, nothing and no one can really harm us. And still, we’ve got to stand strong in Unity, Love, Truth, and Communication. Those four pillars keep us steady and help us rise together.
Unity:
Unity reminds us we’re all part of the same divine fabric. Different colors, same thread. When we look past differences and see that same light in everyone, we find our strength.
Love:
Love is the heartbeat of everything. It’s not mushy or soft—it’s real, steady action. It forgives, it lifts, it keeps showing up even when it’s hard. Love is courage wearing compassion.
Truth:
Truth is that quiet inner compass that always points to what’s right. It doesn’t shout; it shines. When we follow it, illusions fall away and we walk with grace.
Communication:
Communication is the bridge between hearts. It’s not just about talking—it’s about listening deeply, honoring each other’s stories, and speaking from love. That’s when communication becomes communion.
Two songs keep playing in my heart while I write: “Do You Hear the People Sing” from Les Misérables and John Denver’s “Potter’s Wheel.” Both remind me that we’re shaping something bigger than ourselves—turning, molding, refining what it means to be human.
Light always finds its way through the cracks. When fear shouts loud, faith whispers louder. Unity, Love, Truth, and Communication—along with peace, kindness, and the simple courage to do what’s right—will carry us forward. God is good, and good will rise again and again.
So, let’s believe in the good. Let’s have faith in the positive. Let’s face the fears and the bullies. Let’s do what’s right. Be the pillars of Unity, Love, Truth, and Communication—not the sparks that burn things down. If millions can march for justice, we can rise to be the voices of hope.
This Is the Time
This is the time
To stand tall,
This is the time
To have faith,
This is the time
To love,
This is the time.
This is the time
To have compassion,
This is the time
To create,
This is the time
To mold our future,
This is the time.
This is the time
To do the right thing,
This is the time
To be the pillars of Unity, Love, Truth, and Communication,
This is the time
To be the light in the dark,
This is the time!
The challenge is to live these four pillars every day—to love when it’s hard, to speak when silence feels safer, and to listen even when the world is shouting.
And when you dare to live as light in a world that sometimes forgets it’s shining, you will change the way you see and change the way you live.
