Taking the Challenge
I think many folks go through life barely existing. Just doing what’s on your “To do” list. Can you relate? Are you one of those people?
Or, are you someone who challenges yourself every day?
Are you sure?
I don’t know about you, however, many times I take the easy way out. I make prepared or frozen meals instead of making home-cooked meals. I’ve binge-watched Netflix instead of finishing needed paperwork or reading a Self-help type book. I’ll take a luxurious nap instead of exercising for 30 minutes. Are you the same as me?
Each day, I try to keep myself on task; however, the six inches between my ears convinces me to do the easy instead of doing the hard.
What if I chose the hard?
What if I chose to cook my own meals?
What if I did that paperwork?
What if I read books that inspired me on a daily basis?
What if I exercised every day?
Do you think I’d change my psyche, physical body, and mental attitude?
What things in your life need changing?
Do you think you can challenge yourself to change these habits?
What’s stopping you?
There’s a book called, 75 HARD: A TACTICAL GUIDE TO WINNING THE WAR WITH YOURSELF by Andy Frisella. In it, he talks about doing the hard in five areas of your life for 75 days. He claims if you stick with his challenge, you will be transformed forever.
I haven’t taken his challenge yet; however, who can turn down transformation? What if this really did teach mental toughness and could change your life forever? Would you be on the bandwagon?
His five areas are:
#1 Figure out any meal plan that works for you and stick with it, no matter what.
#2 Exercise twice a day; 45 minutes each; one time outdoors.
#3 Drink a gallon of water.
#4 Read ten pages of a nonfiction Self-improvement book.
#5 Take a photo of yourself when you begin the challenge.

I think this challenge would benefit greatly if you had a support buddy. Someone who could relate to the challenge and understand the hard. The thing about this challenge is, if you mess up one day, you have to start the challenge from day one again.
My challenge to you is, who wants to take the plunge and take the 75 hard challenge? And, if anyone wants me to do the challenge with them, let me know, for I’m like you, I want to do this with someone else. Let’s change the way we see, and let’s change the way we live.
